The Women Safety Wing of the Telangana police has signed a memorandum of understanding with Tata Advanced Systems Ltd. (TASL). The agreement, aimed at bolstering community-based policing efforts, was formalised under the banner ‘Driving Policing Efficiency for Community Impact’.

The agreement was signed in Hyderabad by Charu Sinha, head of the Bharosa Society for Protection of Women and Children, and Masood Hussainy, executive director of TASL.

The collaboration seeks to strengthen vital safety units such as She Teams, Bharosa Centres, and Anti-Human Trafficking Units through technology interventions, capacity building and operational innovation. The initiative is designed to deepen community engagement, improve coordination among field personnel and ensure more effective, victim-centered support services by equipping field personnel and institutional mechanisms with modern tools and training.

TASL has extended its backing through its corporate social responsibility framework. The partnership also encourages employee engagement through volunteering opportunities with Bharosa-supported initiatives.

Officials expect the partnership to reinforce institutional capacity within the women safety wing and help position Telangana at the forefront of integrated community policing models focused on women and child protection.
