Radhika Yadav Murder Case: Independent artist Inaam Ul Haq, who made the headlines for featuring state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav, who was killed allegedly by her own father in Gurugram, has issued a statement about the backlash he has been receiving after her death.

In a post on Instagram, the artist slammed the critics who accused him of gaining fame and views on his song video after Radhika’s death.

The video went viral after Radhika Yadav’s murder.

He said that whatever money this song brings to him, now or later, he won’t keep a single penny and all of it would go to charity.

“A lot of people say I’m gaining fame because of what happened to Radhika. That my song Karwaan is trending, and I’ll earn from it. So let me say this clearly — Whatever I receive from Karwaan — whether monthly royalties from @iprsmusic or revenue from @songdewnetwork I won’t keep a single rupee," he said.

He further said that as long as this song is played in the world, every payment, every month, for the rest of his life, will go towards helping the poor feeding the hungry, supporting the helpless, and doing something meaningful.

“If even one sincere prayer comes from someone I’ve helped, and it brings peace to her soul, that’s more than enough for me. This isn’t about numbers. Not about fame. Just a small gesture in someone’s memory," he added.

He further reiterated that he never wanted attention and has always worked with honesty and respect. He also urged the people not to disturb him, saying that he has no connection with Radhika other than participating in the music video last year.

“Rest in peace, Radhika. You’ll always be remembered," he added.

Earlier while speaking to CNN-News18, Inaam said that the 25-year-old tennis player told him that her father liked the Karwaan video she appeared in, disputing the theory and the insinuation that she was killed over the music video.

He further said that she had deactivated her Instagram account after the song was released. When he asked her the reason for deactivating the social media account, she had replied that she was busy with her work and had deactivated the account for some time.

Inaam further revealed that he had travelled to Delhi just to shoot the video with her, which was shot in her mother’s presence.

“It was a four-five-hour shoot with her in Delhi. During the shoot, I came to know that she was interested in acting. She only took the conveyance amount," Inaam said to CNN-News18.

Amid the probe of the chilling incident that sent chills down the spine, the music video featuring the tennis player with the independent music artist had surfaced. The music video, titled “Karwaan" by artist Inaam, was released a year ago. Produced by Zeeshan Ahmad, the video was released under the LLF Records label. The music video featured Radhika alongside Inaam in several romantic scenes.

Radhika Yadav, the 25-year-old tennis player, was shot dead allegedly by her own father, Deepak Yadav (49), at the family’s double-storey home in the upscale Sushant Lok area of Gurugram on Thursday. Deepak later confessed to killing his daughter and was arrested.

While Gurugram police said the primary trigger was a long-standing dispute between Radhika, 25, and her father over the tennis academy she was running, her appearance in a music video and growing social media activity added to the tensions at home.

The police said that they were investigating all possible angles in Radhika’s murder, including what her mother was doing when the incident occurred. According to an FIR registered based on the complaint of the deceased’s uncle, Kuldeep Yadav, Radhika’s mother was present on the first floor of the house when the shooting took place.

Radhika was a well-known name in the state-level tennis circuit, known especially for her performance in doubles. Apart from competing, she also dedicated her time to coaching young talent through her own tennis academy in Gurugram.

Over the years, she had played in several tournaments and faced opponents such as Viswanadh Harshini, Bougrat Maelys, Sun Yifan, Maruri Suhitha and Mashabayeva Dilnaz.
