A victory would have guaranteed them at least a bronze. The world No. 17 Indian pair achieved a major upset on Thursday by defeating Hong Kong’s world No. 5 duo of Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet, but they couldn’t maintain that momentum in the quarterfinals.
