The relationship between Sabalenka and Brazilian businessman Georgios Frangulis first became public in mid-2024. Since then, he has been a regular presence in her player box during tournaments, traveling with her across the tour as her support system during a demanding season.

The engagement also comes after a lighthearted moment earlier this year. After winning the Brisbane International final to begin the 2026 season with a title, Sabalenka jokingly put a little pressure on her partner during the trophy ceremony. “Thank you to my boyfriend... Hopefully, soon I can call you something else. Let us put some extra pressure,” the 27-year-old joked during her Brisbane trophy speech.Sabalenka has also shown her playful side when the topic of proposals comes up.
