ICC World Test Championship 2025-2027 Standings: Australia annihilated the West Indies by skittling them out for the second-lowest total (27) ever in the history of Test cricket to win the third and final Test by 176 runs at Sabina Park in Kingston on Tuesday. This win also meant Australia completed a 3-0 whitewash against the hosts, West Indies, as they continue to lead the fresh new cycle of the World Test Championship (2025-27 ) standings.
The WTC 2023-25 finalists have a spotless record in this cycle until now. The Pat Cummins-led Australia have 36 points and 100 PCT (points percentage) after winning all three Tests against West Indies. Sitting second with 24 points and 66.67 PCT is Ben Stokes’ England.
England beat India in the third Test by 22 runs at Lord’s on Monday to get a crucial 2-1 lead in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. This win also gave them 12 points, which pulled them up to second place. Sri Lanka remain on 66.67 PCT after winning the two-match Test series 1-0 against Bangladesh at home. Sri Lanka won one and drew one to gain 16 points from two matches.
With their second loss in three Tests, Shubman Gill-led India slipped to fourth place. India’s PCT has also been reduced to 33.33 per cent as they fail to chase down a modest 193-run total at Lord’s Test. Bangladesh find themselves in fifth place with four points and 16.67 PCT from two matches.
West Indies, who had their chances against Australia in all three Tests but squandered those to get a clean sweep in the home series 3-0, have yet to open their account in the WTC this cycle. West Indies’ batting has disappointed the team a lot after their bowling, led by Shamar Joseph, Justin Greaves, Alzarri Joseph, and Jayden Seales stepped up.
New Zealand, Pakistan and South Africa are yet to play any matches in this WTC cycle. Defending World Test Champion South Africa beat Zimbabwe 2-0 in the recently concluded Test match series, but since Zimbabwe is not part of the current WTC cycle, the series was not counted in for the standings.
