WWE RAW 20 Oct Results: Seth Rollins Stripped Of Title, Jey Uso To Take On CM Punk For Crown

Rollins was stripped off his World Heavyweight Championship following his injury, while Dominik Mysterio and Bekcy Lynch managed to retain their titles in contrasting fashion.

The latest episode of the Red Brand was held in Sacramento and boasted a couple of title bouts including the intercontinental championship and the women’s championships, while Seth Rollins was stripped off his World Heavyweight Championship following his injury on the back of his win over Cody Rhodes at the Crown Jewel, much to the delight of the Vision. A battle royale was held to determine the No.1 contender to take on CM Punk for the vacated crown.

Dragon Lee and AJ Styles beat The Judgement Day

The Judgement Day couldn’t managed to defend their title against the makeshift pairing of Dragon Lee and AJ Styles following Andrare’s exit from the company. The pairing of Lee and Styles seem to complement each other despite Styles in the twilight of hid career as he closed out the bout in favour of his side with a Styles Clash.

Dominik Mysterio beat Rusev

Dominik managed to retain his intercontinental title against Rusev as the second-generation superstar hit the Russian with a couple of finishers including the 619 and the frog splash after making the best of a distracted referee. During the commotion, Penta, who had challenged Dominik unsuccessfully a couple of times previously, made an appearance before being laid out by Rusev. Penta pointed at Mysterio following his win hinting at another bout on the cards for the IC title.

Becky Lynch beat Maxine Dupri

Dupri was in front of her home crowd in Sacramento, but wasn’t able to measure up to Becky ‘The Man’ Lynch.  Lynch dominated the opening exchanges of the bout, before Dupri was urged on by the audience and seemed to be gaining a second wing towards the end of the bout, however, Lynch ended the battle with a DQ, handing Dupri the win, but the title stayed with her to the disappointment of the home crowd.

Battle Royale for No.1 Contender

A battle royale to determine the superstar to clash against CM Punk for the title left vacant by Seth Rollins was the headline event of the show and a number of notable names including the likes of AJ Styles, Rusev, Jimmy and Jey Uso, Finn Balor, LA Knight, Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Sheamus, Penta, and Dragon Lee. Jimmy and Jey Uso, Knight, Mysterio, and Styles were the final five remaining, before Jey managed to outlast everyone to emerge as the victor.
