WWE Raw: El Grande Americano Secures Final MITB Spot After Triple-Threat Victory

Two action-packed Money In The Bank qualifying games marked the latest edition of Monday Night Raw from Tulsa.

El Grande Americano beat CM Punk and AJ Styles in the MITB Qualifier on RAW (WWE)

Two high-stakes triple-threat qualifying matches for the upcoming Money In The Bank and two Tag Team face-offs marked the latest episode of WWE Raw in Tulsa. While CM Punk battled it out for an MITB spot against AJ Styles and El Grande Americano, Liv Morgan took on Stephanie Vaquer and Ivy Nile for women’s ladder match qualification. WWE Heavyweight champion Jey Uso paired up with Sami Zayn to face Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed before Judgement Day tackled War Raiders. Here’s how the results panned out.

El Grande Americano Beat CM Punk, AJ Styles For the MITB Spot

A dramatic triple-threat face-off for the last Money In The Bank men’s spot saw CM Punk initially team up with AJ Styles to take out El Grande Americano early. But Americano bounced back strongly. All three men gave each other a hard time, enjoying several moments of dominance with a series of counters and near-falls. CM Punk nearly secured a victory with a Go to Sleep but El Grande Americano managed to break the ankle lock. AJ Styles later hit Punk with a Styles Clash before Americano broke up the pin.

It seemed as if the match was set for the most exciting end but then a chaotic interruption from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed saw the pair attack Punk and pull him out of the ring. Sami Zayn and Jey Uso also arrived to even up the odds. During the brawl, AJ Styles attempted Phenomenal Forearm but an alert Americano caught him mid-air with a flying headbutt to come out triumphant.

Jey Uso & Sami Zayn Beat Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed

Soon after the MITB qualifying encounter ended, Bron Brakker teamed up with Bronson Reed for the tag team match against Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. The Uso-Zayn pair enjoyed early momentum in the game but was thwarted by the power of Breakker and Reed. In the dying moments of the gripping fight, Rollins interfered and hit Jey with a blackout, which resulted in a disqualification. Uso and Zayn were awarded winners after the interruption. As the game reached its conclusion, CM Punk made a surprise entrance and saved Uso and Zayn by hitting Breakker and Reed with a chair while also confronting Rollins.

Stephanie Vaquer Win MITB Qualifier Vs Ivy Nile, Liv Morgan

During another thrilling MITB Qualifying face-off in the women’s leg, Stephanie Vaquer took on Ivy Nile and Liv Morgan. The intense clash saw Vaquer unleash multiple big moves on her two opponents but Liv managed to break several pins. Not to be left behind, Ivy executed a big German suplex on both women. Near the end, Stephanie Vaquer came up with the SBB on Ivy Nile and got the pin to secure her win.

Judgment Day vs War Raiders

Another explosive tag team match saw Judgment Day – Finn Balor & JD McDonagh – pack a punch against the War Raiders pairing of Erik & Ivar. The game witnessed great outside chaos. The New Day attempted to get involved but were turned down. The War Raiders countered a distraction from Roxanne Perez. But the Judgement Day won after JD drove Ivar’s face into the post and Balor managed to hit Coup de Grace from the top rope.
