WWE RAW News Roundup: Paul Heyman kidnapped after attack, Penta becomes new champion, and more

WWE Universe witnessed the fallout of the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event on the March 2 episode of RAW. The night was a thrilling experience for the fans and a major stop on the road to WrestleMania 42 that saw Paul Heyman get kidnapped after a brutal attack, Penta winning his first title in WWE, and the return of The OTC Roman Reigns to confront his WrestleMania opponent.

Paul Heyman was kidnapped after a major assault by Seth Rollins

Paul Heyman and The Vision members, Austin Theory and Logan Paul, addressed Seth Rollins' return to WWE at the Elimination Chamber event. They attempted to hijack the show, only for Adam Pearce to stop them. Then two masked men appeared and were chased off by Theory and Paul. Heyman was left alone in the ring, and another masked man came from behind. It was Seth Rollins, who attacked him with a chair and finished him off with a Stomp.

He was covered in blood and loaded in an Ambulance, only for LA Knight to reveal himself as the driver who drove off with him.

Penta won his first WWE title

Penta squared off against Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Mysterio wanted to go it alone, which became his downfall. Finn Balor stopped JD McDonagh from interfering, which led to Penta countering a 619 attempt and planting Mysterio with a Destroyer to win the match.

With his victory, he won his first championship in WWE and had a huge celebration following the match.

Roman Reigns returns

Roman Reigns returned to Monday Night RAW but was interrupted by his WrestleMania 42 opponent, CM Punk. The duo had a heated confrontation, exchanging major jabs and ending the show on a high note as their road to WrestleMania hinted at major tensions on its first stop to The Show of Shows.

What were other major highlights of WWE RAW (March 2)?

New WWE Women's Intercontinental Champion AJ Lee appeared and looked ahead to WrestleMania 42. She said that the next time she was in the ring, she would be defending her title. Another segment saw a confrontation between Rusev and Oba Femi. The two powerhouses had a tense exchange with a match set between them on RAW next week.
