An exciting Friday night WWE SmackDown episode entertained fans from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan, featuring multiple exciting clashes.

The latest episode of the WWE SmackDown was played at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan and witnessed riveting battles as John Cena faced off against R-Truth in the main event and the King and the Queen Of The Ring tournament finalists were decided. Fans had plenty of savour from an intense set of clashes as the story progressed at the Friday Night SmackDown.

CM Punk Interrupts John Cena Versus R-Truth Match

The legendary John Cena marked his appearance for a main event clash at the WWE SmackDown against R-Truth. The popular foes engaged in the most heated battle that also spilt over to the ringside. Cena provided the most compelling show for the fans against an aggressive Ron Killings.

Cena tried to leave the match but was stopped by his opponent, only to be nailed by the champion with his undisputed title belt. That led to a disqualification before CM Punk caused a major interruption, leading to a brawl with Cena. Cena ended up with the upper hand after a low blow, followed by a belt shot and AA through the table. Cena then delivered a promo similar to Punk’s 2011 pipebomb and left his rival lying in the ring.

Asuka, Orton Make It To King & Queen Of The Ring Finals

The semifinal of the Queen Of The Ring tournament saw Asuka hammer Alexa Bliss in an evenly contested fixture that captured the fans’ interest. In the dying moments of the match, Alexa came up with the Twisted Bliss that was thwarted by Asuka with her knees up. Asuka responded with a decisive Hip Attack and sealed her victory.

Randy Orton took on Sami Zayn in the King Of The Ring semifinal and emerged victorious after executing his legendary RKO at the end. Orton, alongside Zayn, Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes, were all in the ring before the match started, claiming victory in the prestigious tournament. Orton then battled out his contest with Zayn and the two unleashed heavy moves on each other. Zayn countered an initial RKO from Orton but was caught by his famous move eventually while trying to execute a Helluva Kick and lost the gripping encounter.

Charlotte Flair Beats Chelsea Green; LA Knight Vs Bronson Reed Disqualified

In a singles match played following a backstage altercation between Charlotte Flair and Chelsea Green, Flair came out triumphant despite Green’s Secret Service cohorts, Alba Fyre and Piper Niven, intervening multiple times against her. Flair went on to make Green tap out of the Figure Eight. Just as she could celebrate her victory, Flair was attacked by Niven. Alexa Bliss then came down to the ring and extended her support to the winner, who refused to shake her hand and left.

LA Knight took Bronson Reed in another singles match that had its roots based in the opening segment on the night where Knight fended off an assault by Reed and his partner, Bron Breakker. Before the match started, LA Knight came rushing from the crowd and attacked Breakker, whose interruption later on caused a disqualification after he speared his rival in response. It was followed by multiple Tsunamis from the top rope by Reed.
