WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena delights fans by reviving his Juan Cena persona in Mexico

WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena delighted his fans after reviving the old Juan Cena persona, treating his fans with a nostalgic surprise at the CCXP Mexico. The Cenation leader, who is busy with his farewell tour as he will bid goodbye to the ring forever in 2025, revived his comedic alter ego, Juan Cena, at the Comic-Con Experience (CCXP) while promoting for Peacemaker: Season 2, in Mexico City.The WWE star was last seen in action at WWE SmackDown, alongside his arch-rival Cody Rhodes, for qualifying in a much-anticipated match at the upcoming Money in the Bank premium live event, which is slated to air live from Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. As per the confirmed match card, John Cena and Logan Paul are all set to team up to lock horns against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.

John Cena revives his Juan Cena persona in Mexico

John Cena has recently been in the limelight again for reviving his Juan Cena persona in Mexico. The event saw Cena don a vibrant Lucha Libre mask, reminiscing of his character that he briefly portrayed in 2010. Cena's appearance at CCXP Mexico wasn't limited to wrestling nostalgia. His main purpose at the show was to promote the upcoming season of the series 'Peacemaker' alongside director James Gunn.

While speaking during CCXP Mexico, the host gave John Cena a Lucha Libre mask and prompted the WWE champion to bring Juan Cena on stage. John Cena laughed and thanked them for giving them Lucha Libre mask, saying he wasn’t sure if fans would want him to wear it, saying, “Ah yes, Lucha Libre! Yes, thank you so much for the gift. But I don’t think the fans would want me to wear the mask.”A hesitant John Cena, after a lot of teasing, finally wore the mask and screamed in excitement.

Afterwards, Cena said it made him feel like a different person, like he had a secret identity.

John Cena joked that no one could see him, saying, “OOOOOH! How did that feel? I felt like another person. I felt like my secret identity. Yeah — you couldn’t see me!”The 'Juan Cena' character made its debut back in 2010, during John Cena's intense feud with The Nexus.
