WWE Undisputed Champion John Cena's ex-girlfriend and a popular diva booked for lackluster match at Evolution

John Cena's road to success as a WWE superstar has been remarkable. Not only has it brought him fame and fortune, but it has also led to romantic relationships with top stars. The Franchise Player still has former love interests who are a part of the WWE landscape right now.

One of those female WWE superstars is set to compete at the all-women's Premium Live Event, WWE Evolution II, set to take place on July 13 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. However, following weeks of speculation, her role for the show was revealed, and it was not what many expected.

Which ex-girlfriend of John Cena will compete at WWE Evolution II?

On the July 7th edition of Monday Night RAW, John Cena's longtime ex-girlfriend Nikki Bella appeared in a vignette. She spoke about her return weeks ago and how being attacked by Liv Morgan gave her perspective.

The Fearless One wanted to prove her worth to the fans and show her son, Matteo, what the WWE Universe has seen for years: rise to the top of the heap.Bella stated that she would be entering the Women's Battle Royal at WWE Evolution II. The winner of the match would receive a Women's Championship match at WWE's forthcoming Premium Live Event, Clash in Paris. The WWE Hall of Famer ended her segment by saying that she wanted that opportunity to once again become champion in the global juggernaut.

However, this came as a disappointing booking for Nikki Bella. Ever since she returned to Monday Night RAW a few weeks ago, she was speculated to feud with Liv Morgan. However, those plans were scrapped after she got injured. There were rumors that Brie Bella would return to team up with Nikki to challenge for the WWE Women's Tag Team titles, but that did not happen either.Instead, WWE chose to book a top star for a lackluster match at a historic night at WWE Evolution II. While the decision is final, it will be interesting to see if it's Nikki Bella who will be next in line to challenge for the WWE Women's Championship in Paris. Also read: Top richest WWE legends: The Rock, Undertaker, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, and more
