XandY Learning has announced the fourth edition of the National Science and Maths Championship (NSMC) 2025, a State-wide competitive examination designed to prepare young students for a competitive future. The championship, targeting students from Classes V to X, will be held at multiple centres in Kerala, and Bengaluru on November 16.

This year, XandY Learning, an organisation founded by IITians and doctors, has partnered with The Hindu in School as the Official Media Partner for NSMC 2025. The collaboration aims to extend the championship’s reach across the State.

The championship aims to introduce students to competitive examination formats much earlier than the typical Class XI or XII, thereby building confidence and essential skills.

The NSMC 2025 will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) lasting 60 minutes, featuring 40 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with a marking scheme of +4 for correct answers and -1 for incorrect answers.

Students in Classes V, VI, and VII will complete 16 questions each in Science and Maths, alongside eight questions in Mental Ability, while those in Classes VIII, IX, and X will be assessed on Physics (eight questions), Chemistry (eight questions), Mathematics (16 questions), and Biology (eight questions).

The championship offers a total cash prize pool of ₹2.5 lakh, with the top prize being ₹15,000. Additionally, scholarships worth ₹10 lakh are available for top performers. All participants will receive certificates.

The registration window for the NSMC opened on September 20 and will close on November 9, with the examination itself scheduled for November 16. Results will be announced a week later on November 23, followed by prize distribution on November 30.

Registration is open at www.xandylearning.com/nsmc with a fee of ₹200. For registrations and any inquiries, interested parties may contact XandY Learning directly via telephone at +91 7561881133 or 9300881133.
