Chinese President Xi Jinping emerged as the most featured personality in the TIME100 list for 2026, marking his 14th appearance- the highest by any individual on this year’s list of the world’s most influential people. The milestone marks Xi Jinping’s continued global influence as China plays a central role in international politics, economics and geopolitics. His repeated inclusion reflects his long-standing impact on global affairs over more than a decade.

While Xi Jinping leads by a wide margin, several other prominent global figures have also made multiple appearances on the TIME100 list over the years. US President Donald Trump has featured eight times, followed by Benjamin Netanyahu with five appearances. Among business and tech leaders, Sundar Pichai has appeared three times.

A number of influential figures have returned to the list for the second time, including Dario Amodei, Fatih Birol, Sterling K. Brown, Mark Carney, Claire Danes, Aliko Dangote and Michael Dell. Others making repeat appearances include Nobel laureate Shirin Ebadi, comedian Nikki Glaser, Olympic champion Chloe Kim, designer Ralph Lauren, YouTuber MrBeast, and politicians such as Gavin Newsom and Marco Rubio.

The list also features returning names like Zoe Saldaña, Claudia Sheinbaum, Gwynne Shotwell and Ben Stiller.

The TIME100 list annually recognises individuals shaping the world across politics, business, entertainment and technology. Xi Jinping’s record-extending presence highlights not just personal influence, but also China’s enduring role in shaping global narratives. As geopolitical tensions, economic shifts and technological transformations continue to define the global landscape, the recurring names on the list point to a mix of enduring power and emerging influence across sectors.
