Yogi says communism has ended, hails Nitish’s work

Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath

Ara: Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on Friday launched a scathing attack on the communist parties, saying their ideology has lost relevance both globally and in India. Addressing an election rally at Garhani under the Agiaon (reserved) assembly constituency in Bhojpur district, where BJP’s Mahesh Paswan is contesting against sitting CPI(ML) MLA Shiv Prakash Ranjan, Yogi said the days of “lal salam” were over.“Communism has been thrown out from the world. In Uttar Pradesh too, the communist parties’ political significance has ended,” Yogi said. Taking aim at the opposition, he added, “On the one hand, the Congress even raised questions over the existence of Lord Ram, while the RJD stopped the Ram Rath. And what is there to say about the communists, whose thought is not about India but about something else? These INDIA bloc parties even oppose the cultural and religious heritage of India.

Turning his attention to development, the Uttar Pradesh CM lauded the Nitish Kumar-led NDA govt in Bihar. “Today Bihar has everything — from good roads, air and rail connectivity to medical and engineering colleges, good schools, uninterrupted power supply, and economic self-reliance among women through Jeevika didis. Nitish has built a sound foundation of development in Bihar, upon which a grand structure of prosperity can be raised if the double-engine govt of the NDA returns to power with the blessings of the people,” he said.

Yogi also highlighted several welfare and development schemes initiated by PM Narendra Modi’s govt at the Centre and the Nitish Kumar-led NDA govt in the state. As rain lashed the venue, Yogi said, “I can see people standing here in muddy conditions due to the rain, but ‘kichad mein hi kamal khilta hai’,” urging voters to support the BJP candidate from Agiaon.
