Youth Arrested for Alleged Vote Buying in Ghatshila During Elections

Jamshedpur: A youth was arrested on allegations of distributing money among the electorate for votes in Ghatshila.The youth, identified as Dashmath Tuddu, was caught outside booth number 129 at Diba Middle School on Tuesday even as polling was going on.Tuddu, resident of Jumbani under Dhalbhumgarh, was caught with Rs 3,000 cash. He is accused of distributing money among the electorate at different booths all over the night on Monday and early hours on Tuesday.The Dhalbhumgarh police station in-charge, Dhiraj Kumar Mishra, said that the man has been arrested on charges of violation of model code of conduct and further probe is underway.The accused did not disclose to the police which political party he belongs to.
