YSRCP has rejected the INDIA bloc's request to support their vice-presidential candidate, Justice Sudarshan Reddy. The party announced its decision to back the NDA's vice-presidential candidate, CP Radhakrishnan. YSRCP MP YV Subba Reddy stated that Defense Minister Rajnath Singh approached them, and they gave their word. He also mentioned that their party president believes "Constitutionalist positions like President, Vice President, if you can elect anonymously, it sends a good signal to them." The INDIA bloc expressed surprise, with a Congress MP suggesting YSRCP's decision indicates that secular politics and the Constitution are less important than an understanding with BJP and RSS.
