YSRCP to organise ‘Annadata Poru’ in Andhra Pradesh on September 9

YSRCP State coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy on Saturday released posters on the protests, titled ‘Annadata Poru’, to be staged across Andhra Pradesh on September 9, against the government’s alleged failure in supplying urea to the farmers.

Addressing the media, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy said farmers were bearing the brunt of the “dictatorial rule” of the NDA partners. He said Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s claim that there was no urea scarcity was false. The farmers were being intimidated for raising their voice against the problems faced by them, he alleged. The government’s inaction helped in the exploitation of the farmers by private traders, he said.

Almost 60% of the agricultural operations were over but the farmers were struggling to source the fertilizer. They were also finding it difficult to procure other farm inputs, Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy added.

YSRCP leaders Lella Appi Reddy, Mondithoka Arun Kumar, Nandigam Suresh, V. Srinivas, T.J.R. Sudhakar Babu, Rayana Bhagyalakshmi and Manohar Reddy were among those present.
