Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu alleged that YSRCP was trying to protect those involved in the Parakamani case in Tirumala. He said the YSRCP leaders lowered the prestige of the world famous Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) by resorting to corruption in its activities.

Adulteration of the ghee used by the TTD in the preparation of the Laddu Prasadam during the YSRCP regime hurt the sentiments of devotees around the world and destroyed the temple sanctity, Mr. Naidu said.

Addressing party leaders at the TDP central office near Mangalagiri in Guntur district on Friday, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said the YSRCP unleashed false propaganda on the TTD affairs as part of its political gameplan.

Hinting at the public spat between Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath and Tiruvuru MLA K. Srinivasa Rao, Mr. Naidu said stringent action would be taken against anyone who violates party principles and discipline.

He announced that he would visit the central party office at least one day every week to remain accessible to party workers. The performance of every leader was being monitored and their future in the party would depend on their conduct, he noted.

Further, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu instructed the party’s disciplinary committee to speak to leaders involved in certain controversies, seek their explanations, and submit a report. “Leaders crossing the line will not be spared. Only those who work sincerely for the party will get due recognition,” he stated.

On cyclone Montha, Mr. Chandrababu Naidu said the government could mitigate the impact to a large extent by preparing to tackle it in advance. Loss of life and property was reduced.

He expressed regret that the YSRCP politicised the natural calamity instead of playing a constructive role.
