Das took to Instagram to post a story on the win of Mamdani. “Congrats to Nikhil Kamath on winning the NYC Mayoral Primary,” Das posted in an Instagram story along with a picture of Zohran Mamdani. Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath is known for his active engagement on social media platforms. Kamath humorously replied to Das by resharing his Instagram Story and thanking him for the congratulatory post.For those unaware, Zohran Mamdani was born in Uganda to Indian parents. He is the son of popular filmmaker Mira Nair. He is a state lawmaker in New York and his election campaign mainly focused on multiple progressive issues related to New York. Issues which Mamdani included in his campaign are free buses, rent freezes, city-owned grocery stores and more. His victory has been hailed as significant movement in the US. If he wins the election, then he will become the first Muslim and South Asian mayor of New York.
