On the first day of the new window where the traffic norm violators can settle cases against them at 50% rebate, the city traffic police settled a total of 1,48,747 cases and collected ₹4.18 Crore through different modes of payment.
The government had announced a one-time 50% concession on penalties for pending cases recorded through the Police Department’s mobile e-challan system, allowing the scheme to apply from August 23 to September 12.
