The State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, B. Srinivasa Rao, on Monday announced the results of the lottery conducted for free admissions into Class I in private schools under the 25 per cent quota for underprivileged children as per Section 12 (1) (C) of the Right to Education Act for the academic year 2025–26.

Mr. Rao said that in view of the availability of vacant seats in private schools within a 5 km radius of the beneficiaries, the government had provided another opportunity to apply online between August 12 and 20 by issuing an additional notification. Based on the fresh applications and those who had applied earlier but not allotted admission, a total of 11,702 students were selected through the lottery as per the options given by parents.

Mr. Rao said that the selected students must be admitted into the allotted schools by August 31 after submission of required certificates such as sibling certificate (only for siblings), caste, income, date of birth, Aadhaar, and disability certificate (if applicable). He said admissions would be cancelled if students are not admitted by the August 31 deadline.

Details of the selected students are being communicated to parents via SMS and are also available on the website: https://cse.ap.gov.in/, he informed.
