11 teams from Trichy, Pudukottai selected in startup ideation camp

Trichy: A district level ideation camp for Trichy and Pudukottai districts was organized by the EDII-Anna Business Incubation Research Foundation (EDII-ABIRF) at the Trichy Anna University campus on Thursday.

The event, held as a part of the Tamil Nadu Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Programme (TNYIEDP), shortlisted 11 teams based on the innovation and scalability of the ideas for the next stage.A total of 512 innovative ideas were submitted by students from both districts. The submissions were screened by the EDII-TN evaluation committee, and 23 student teams were shortlisted to present their ideas at the district ideation camp.

The ideas were evaluated by a group of jury members from various startup incubation hubs. The jury shortlisted 11 student teams for the next stage - nine from Trichy and two from Pudukottai.The shortlisted ideas were from agriculture tech, artificial intelligence (AI), waste-to-wealth technologies, healthcare, clean energy, sustainability, and digital innovations. The teams will participate in the stage-II regional bootcamp to be held at the same venue where shortlisted innovators from Trichy, Pudukottai, Thanjavur, Ariyalur and Perambalur districts will receive mentoring on innovation, business model development, prototype validation, pitching and entrepreneurship.Teams advancing from the regional bootcamp will compete in the state-level final at EDII-TN, Chennai. Implemented through district hubs across the state.
