As the Narendra Modi-led BJP government prepares to complete 12 years in office, the Centre has drawn up a nationwide outreach campaign under which Union ministers, BJP leaders, chief ministers and MPs will reach out to the public to highlight what the government describes as its "22 major achievements" across sectors.

According to sources, the coordinated exercise will involve press conferences, public meetings, media interactions and beneficiary outreach programmes across states in the coming weeks. Senior leaders have reportedly been assigned specific themes and states as part of the campaign strategy.

The outreach programme has been divided into five broad pillars, under which 22 sub-themes have been identified for focused communication.

Under the "Lokseva" category, the government plans to highlight initiatives related to welfare of the poor, farmers, the middle class and healthcare services.

The second pillar, "Sashaktikaran", will focus on women empowerment, youth empowerment, welfare of deprived sections and farmer empowerment.

The "Rashtra Nirman" segment will include themes such as economic development, infrastructure expansion, science and technology, ease of doing business, ease of living and development of the North-Eastern states.

Under the "Rashtra Pratham" category, the government will focus on issues including national security, foreign policy, counter-terrorism measures and action against Naxalism.

The fifth pillar, titled "Virasat Bhi, Vikas Bhi", will cover heritage conservation, environment, culture and wildlife protection.

Sources said the campaign has been designed to ensure that achievements of every major ministry and sector are communicated in a structured and coordinated manner at the grassroots level.

Ministers are expected to present data, flagship schemes, implementation records and comparative indicators to underline the government’s governance model over the past 12 years.

The campaign is also expected to focus on welfare delivery, digital governance, infrastructure growth, India’s global standing, economic reforms and social sector schemes, while countering the Opposition criticism on unemployment, inflation and social tensions.

According to BJP leaders, the outreach programme will also include interactions with intellectuals, social media campaigns and district-level engagement initiatives aimed at strengthening public outreach ahead of upcoming elections.

Party functionaries said the exercise is intended to reinforce the government’s narrative centred on "development, delivery and decisive leadership".
