14-months-old girl run over by tractor-trolley

Bhopal: A 14-months-old girl died allegedly after being run over by a tractor-trolley while playing outside her house in Chhan village under Misrod police station limits on Wednesday evening.

Police have registered a case of death by negligence against the unidentified tractor driver, who fled the spot after the accident.According to police, the victim, Kriti Gaud, was the daughter of daily-wage labourer Ajay Gaud. She was playing outside her house around 2.30 pm when a tractor-trolley carrying construction debris arrived in the area to unload outside a house.Police said the driver allegedly reversed the vehicle negligently without noticing the child. During the manoeuvre, the trolley’s wheel ran over Kriti, causing critical injuries.The family rushed the child to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival.
