A 14-year-old high school boy allegedly ended his life, leaving behind a note, in his house at Banagiri in Banashankari in C.K. Achukattu police station limits in Bengaluru on August 4.

The deceased has been identified as Gandhara, a class 7 student at a private school in Banashankari. His mother Savitha is a singer, and father Ganesh Pradesh is a musician.

According to the police, Gandhara took the extreme step on August 3 night. His father and brother, who went wake him up around 5.30 a.m., found him dead, and alerted the police.

The boy allegedly left behind a note apologising to his family, mentioning his school friends, police said, adding that the exact reason for his him taking the step is yet to be ascertained .

The police added that Gandhara’s mother was in Australia to attend a concert.

The police have taken up a case of unnatural death and are awaiting the post-mortem report.
