16 suffer electric shock from freezer box

Sixteen persons suffered electric shock from a freezer box when the power supply was switched on after the body of a man was placed inside on Thursday. The incident occurred at Vadakku Thuvaravayal in Keeranur police station limits in the district in the evening.

The body of the man identified as Devarajan was placed inside the freezer box in his house. When the power supply to the freezer box was switched on 16 persons suffered electric shock apparently due to power leak triggering tense moments for sometime. Those who suffered electric shock took treatment at the Keeranur Government hospital, said the police.
