NEW DELHI: A 17-year-old boy was allegedly stabbed to death after the brother of a girl he was in a relationship with, along with his friends, allegedly opposed the relationship and confronted him in southeast Delhi’s Molarband area on Sunday evening.
Police have apprehended three accused and launched a search for the remaining suspects.According to police, information about the stabbing was received around 8pm. The incident took place outside a medical Store in Gali No. 4 on the 40-Foot Road in Molarband under the Badarpur police station.
“A preliminary inquiry revealed that the teenager, a resident of Molarband Extension, was called to the spot by the girl’s brother.
He reached the location along with three of his friends, where an argument broke out between the two groups. Police said the girl’s brother and his associates were opposed to the relationship. During the altercation, the victim was stabbed in the chest and abdomen with a sharp-edged weapon,” a senior police officer said.
The injured boy was rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre by local residents but later succumbed to his injuries.Police said the crime team inspected the scene and registered a case under relevant sections of law. Three accused have been apprehended, while raids are underway to arrest the remaining suspects. Further investigation is in progress
