17-year-old detained for raping nine-year-old girl

Mhow: Mhow police detained a 17-year-old boy for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl on Thursday night in Mhow Cantonment area.Investigating officer sub-inspector Alka Singh told media persons that the alleged incident of rape occurred on Wednesday.

But, the girl narrated the sordid tale to her mother on Thursday evening, following which the mother took the girl to the police station and lodged a complaint.Based on the complaint, police booked the minor boy under Sections 65(2), 64(2) and 351 of BNS for rape and criminal intimidation and under the POCSO Act.Singh said the boy was detained Thursday night. He was sent to a juvenile home after his medical examination at Mhow Civil Hospital.
