A 17-year-old boy from JJ Colony, was stabbed to death in Bawana. Seven suspects, including four juveniles, were apprehended.

In a shocking incident in outer north Delhi’s Bawana area, a 17-year-old boy named Salim was allegedly stabbed to death, police said on Thursday. Seven people, including four juveniles, have been apprehended in connection with the murder.

The incident was reported to the police at approximately 9:36 pm on Wednesday. Salim, a resident of JJ Colony, was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him dead. Medical reports indicated multiple stab wounds on his chest and other parts of his body.

According to the complainant, Salim was intercepted by the accused around 8:30 pm and was allegedly assaulted due to an ongoing dispute. Some of the attackers beat him with fists and kicks, while others stabbed him with knives.

A case was registered at the Narela Industrial Area Police Station. Investigations revealed that there was prior enmity between the accused and the victim. As per the police, CCTV footage, technical surveillance, and local intelligence led to the apprehension of seven suspects, including four juveniles.

The arrested accused have been identified as Salin (21), Sahil (20), and Fahad (18), all residents of JJ Colony.

The four minors involved are aged between 16 and 17. One of the juveniles had a history of involvement in an attempt to murder case.

Four knives believed to have been used in the crime were recovered. The role of one Mohammad Farukh is also under investigation for suspected conspiracy and abetment.
