18 arrested for peddling ganja and spurious liquor in Pulivendula

The Kadapa district police on Tuesday (April 14, 2026) busted a gang peddling ganja and spurious liquor in Pulivendula town and arrested eighteen persons involved in the crime.

Following several complaints about the presence of ganja peddlers in the mandal, Superintendent of Police Nachiket Vishwanath Shelke instructed Deputy Superintendent (Pulivendula) B. Murali to nab the culprits at the earliest. Acting on a tip-off, the team headed by Mr. Murali reached the vacant site near Velamavaripalle abutting Kadiri ring road and arrested ten persons from the spot.
