It was announced on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, that Joseph, 31, was charged with two counts of child sex abuse, according to the Bay County Sheriff's Office, in connection with a 2020 incident involving a then-9-year-old girl, as reported by People.

Months after the alleged abuse, the couple announced on their Instagram account (@littleduggarfamily) that they welcomed their third child, Brooklyn Praise Duggar.

The February 2021 birth of their second daughter was followed by a series of Instagram posts documenting their family of five. The family posted images of their three children, son Garrett David, and daughters Addison Renee and Brooklyn, celebrating various holidays as well as their birthdays.

"As the vacation continued, he also asked her to sit next to him on a couch and covered them with a blanket," Bay County Sheriff's Office said.
