 Vaibhav Suryavanshi hits 44-ball 56; India stretch lead over England

Vaibhav Suryavanshi's rapid half-century of 56 runs from 44 balls helped India U19 reach 128 for three in their second innings against England on day three of the four-day Youth Test.

India have now built an overall lead of 229 runs.At stumps, Vihaan Malhotra scored 34 runs while Abhigyan Kundu remained at zero.India got off to a strong start with Suryavanshi and captain Ayush Mhatre putting on 77 runs in 12 overs. The partnership ended when Archie Vaughan, son of former England captain Michael, dismissed Mhatre.Vaughan continued his impressive bowling performance, finishing with figures of 3 wickets for 14 runs in 10 overs.

He also claimed Suryavanshi's wicket shortly after the batsman reached his fifty.England U19, who started the day at 230 for five, managed to score 439 runs in their first innings, reducing India's lead to 101 runs.The English lower order showed resilience with Thomas Rew scoring 34, Ekansh Singh 59, Ralphie Albert 50, Jack Home 44, and James Minto 20.Rew and Ekansh's sixth-wicket partnership of 80 runs helped England approach 400. Home and Minto later added 48 runs for the ninth wicket, pushing the total past 400.
