New Delhi: Two brothers were stabbed to death outside their home in northwest Delhi’s Narela, allegedly over a dispute with a local youth that escalated into a violent attack early Wednesday, police said.The victims, Mustakim, in his 30s, and his 26-year-old brother Sohail, worked as labourers in Uttam Nagar. Police said Sohail had an argument with a 22-year-old man, Dileep, around 1am. Hours later, Dileep allegedly returned with another man and two juveniles and attacked the brothers with knives. All four suspects, including the two minors, have been apprehended and a murder case has been registered.In another incident, a 15-year-old boy was apprehended for allegedly stabbing a 28-year-old man to death with a pair of scissors in west Delhi’s Khyala on Tuesday.
The victim, Firoj, was declared dead at a hospital while another man sustained injuries while trying to intervene.Police said the suspect and the victim worked and lived in the same factory. Investigation revealed that the victim allegedly mocked the juvenile over his relationship with a girl, leading to a grudge. Following a quarrel, the minor allegedly attacked Firoj with scissors.In northeast Delhi’s Seelampur, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death on Tuesday night following a quarrel over a trivial issue.
Lucky Kumar was found injured in Gautampuri area and declared brought dead at JPC Hospital. Following CCTV analysis and technical surveillance, police apprehended two minors, aged 15-16 years, who allegedly confessed to their involvement in the murder. Efforts are underway to apprehend a third suspect.In a separate incident, a 25-year-old driver was stabbed to death, allegedly by three men, in north Delhi’s Timarpur on Tuesday night over an old dispute, police said. The victim, Dilawar alias Babu, was returning home from a gym with a friend when the attackers intercepted them on a service road near Sanjay Basti. Following an argument, the assailants allegedly stabbed him multiple times in the neck and chest before fleeing.
Dilawar was rushed to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he was declared dead.
