A 20-year-old man from Gujarat who had been missing for six days was found murdered, with police alleging that he was killed and dismembered by his friend following a dispute involving a woman. Ramesh Maheshwari had gone missing from Muru village in Nakhatrana on December 2, prompting police to file a missing person report and launch a search. As the investigation progressed, suspicion fell on his friend Kishore, who was detained along with a minor boy for questioning.

During interrogation, Kishore allegedly confessed to killing Ramesh after an argument over a woman known to both of them. Police said Kishore had been pressuring the woman on Instagram to be in a relationship with him, and she informed Ramesh, leading to a confrontation between the two friends. Enraged, Kishore allegedly decided to murder him.

According to police, Kishore took Ramesh to the outskirts of the village, killed him, and used a knife to sever his head, hands, and legs. The dismembered parts were dumped in a borewell, while the torso was buried nearby. Acting on the confession, Nakhatrana police and district officials visited the site on Monday, recovering the buried body and retrieving the severed remains from the borewell. Further investigation is underway.
