CCB raid in Bendoor leads to arrest of trio for suspected MDMA sale

Mangaluru: The CCB sleuths of Mangaluru City police have arrested three persons for allegedly attempting to sell MDMA in the city. The accused are Mohammed Nadeem,27, of Bengaluru, Umarul Farooq,30, of Someshwar Uchila, and Imtiyaz Ismail Kinya, 41, of KC Road, Mangaluru.Acting on a tip-off that the trio was attempting to sell MDMA from a lodge in Bendoor, CCB personnel conducted a raid on Tuesday and arrested the accused. During the operation, police seized 35.5g of MDMA and Rs 7,030 in cash. A case has been registered at Mangaluru East police station The accused were produced before a court on Wednesday, which remanded them to judicial custody. Further investigation is underway.One more arrestedMangaluru South police have arrested a man for allegedly attempting to sell MDMA. The accused has been identified as Dhanush, a resident of Kumpala. Acting on a tip-off that the accused was attempting to sell the narcotic substance, police conducted a raid at Mulihithlu, Bolar, on Wednesday and arrested him. During the operation, officers seized 3.3g of MDMA from his possession.
