Seven people, including three children, died after a wall at Bowring Hospital in Bengaluru collapsed during heavy rain, CM Siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar rush to the site.

Seven people, including three children, were killed as a wall near Bowring Hospital in Karnataka capital collapsed due to heavy rainfall, authorities said on Wednesday, adding that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the hospital to take stock of the situation.
Bengaluru witnessed 8 cm rainfall within 1.5 hours and wind speed at 75 kms per hour. As per BBMP command and control centre, 50 places trees have fallen.
According to officials, nine people were standing near the compound wall at Bowring Hospital to take shelter during rain when the wall collapsed, killing seven people including three children and two women.
Following the incident, Deputy CM DK Shivakumar said: “I am cancelling my program in Kanakapura and rushing to the spot. The Police Commissioner informed me about the incident. We will help them."
Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah visited the hospital along with the Police Commissioner and other officials to take stock of the situation and meet the victims.
