3 Hyderabad companies to get 10 ISRO technologies

HYDERABAD: Three Hyderabad companies - Zetatek Technologies, Avantel, and Jisnu Communications - are among six Indian companies to whom 10 technologies developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) are being transferred, space regulator Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe) said on Thursday. These technologies, which cover the upstream, midstream, and downstream segments of the space sector, are being transferred with an eye on advancing India's space industrial capabilities, the space regulator said.Tripartite technology transfer agreements were also signed between NewSpace India Ltd (NSIL), IN-SPACe, and the companies receiving the technologies.

Zetatek, which has expertise in inertial navigation system testing, calibration, and QA & QT equipment, is receiving tech for two advanced inertial sensors - laser gyroscope and ceramic servo accelerometer - for use in satellite launch vehicles, making it the first company from India to acquire this niche technology that is currently being imported.Avantel and Jisnu, which develop end-to-end communications solutions for space and defence platforms, are getting three midstream ground station operations-related technologies - S/C/Ka tri-band dual circular polarised mono pulse feed, tri-axis antenna control servo system, and Ku/C/L and S Band cassegrain feed to boost self-reliance in critical ground station infrastructure.IN-SPACe said the tech transfers are aimed at providing private players access to developed technologies available with ISRO.
