3 Ludhiana schools receive bomb threat; security tightened

LUDHIANA: Three private schools in Ludhiana received a bomb threat early on Tuesday morning via email. The threat claimed that the school buildings would be blasted by 1.11 pm, also warned that explosions on trains would follow by 3.11 pm.As soon as the emails were received, the school authorities informed the police. The buildings were evacuated, and bomb squads began checking the school premises.A school official confirmed that the email was received at around 6:56 am. Although examinations are over, teachers were at the schools to check answer sheets.At the time of filing the report, no explosives had been found, but searches were ongoing.The email was reportedly sent by the Khalistan National Army. The accused also warned migrants to leave Punjab by 13 April.
