3 women held in Agartala child assault case

Agartala: Tripura Police have arrested three women in connection with the violent assault of a six-year-old boy in Bhagakpur in West Tripura district.The arrests followed the circulation of a disturbing video on social media showing the child being physically attacked, allegedly after being accused of stealing Rs 20.Acting swiftly, police launched an investigation and arrested the three accused. A formal case has been registered. The women were identified as Dipali Banik (41), Kajli Sarkar (50), and Manti Biswas (35), all residents of Paresh Colony in Bhagakpur.Reiterating their commitment to justice, law enforcement authorities emphasised a zero-tolerance approach to crimes against children.
