The Hackathon 2026 was inaugurated at Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous) here on Thursday, in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC).
District Collector Sumit Kumar attended the event as chief guest. Officials and academic leaders were also present at the occasion. Thirty teams with 120 participants competed on four real-world problem statements, each carrying a prize of ₹1.75 lakh. Experts from ARVR and BITS, Hyderabad, judged the entries based on innovation and practical impact.
Organisers said the event aims to promote problem-solving skills and industry readiness among students through collaborative learning and hands-on experience during the competition period.
