In a shocking incident reported from Delhi’s Sultanpuri, a husband allegedly strangled his wife to death following a domestic dispute. As per the reports, the couple’s minor sons told the police that their father had killed their mother.

The two boys, aged 10 and 13, were present in the house during the incident that took place on Saturday. As per a report by PTI, the police received a PCR call around noon about a quarrel in a house located in Sultanpuri’s P-Block area. Upon arrival, a team found the woman lying inside a room with a scarf tied around her neck.

Her husband, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, was present at the scene. The woman was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

The accused, identified as 39-year-old Anil, who works as a driver in the Punjabi Bagh area, has been taken into custody.

A preliminary inquiry suggests that the incident resulted from a domestic dispute, with no indications of infidelity emerging so far. The crime team inspected the scene, and the body has been preserved in the mortuary for a post-mortem examination.
