As many as 4,39,184 seats are available for Plus One single-window admissions this year.

As many as 4,10,456 students had become eligible for higher studies.

Submission of Plus One applications began on Monday. The last date for submitting applications is June 3. Trial allotment will be held on June 8. The first allotment will be published on June 15, second allotment on June 22, and the third allotment on June 29.

After the completion of three allotments in the main phase on July 1, Plus One classes will begin on July 2. Last year, the classes had got under way on June 18.

After the main phase of allotments, applications will be invited afresh for supplementary allotment to fill the remaining seats.

Supplementary allotment will be held from July 13 to August 5, which will be the date for completion of Plus One admission procedures.

Students can take admission to 45 subject combinations across Science, Commerce, and Humanities groups.

As many as 2,220 applications were received on Monday. These applications to government and aided schools have been confirmed online. More than 11,600 candidate logins were created, but online confirmations have not been done by all.

Of the total online confirmed applications, 2,098 were from students who had completed SSLC, 98 from CBSE students, 12 from ICSE students, and 12 from students in other education boards.

The maximum number of applications received was from Palakkad- 313. The least was from Wayanad – 29.

As many as four MRS applications too have been confirmed, while 885 candidate logins have been created.

The government, on Monday, issued orders for continuing temporary batches sanctioned and shifted in the previous years and allowing marginal seat increase at the start of the admission process itself.

A marginal seat increase of 30% was allowed in government higher secondary schools and 20% in aided schools in Thiruvananthapuram, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts. An additional 10% can be sanctioned to aided schools on demand.

In Kollam and Thrissur districts, 20% marginal seat increase will be allowed in government and aided schools.

In Alappuzha district’s Ambalapuzha and Cherthala taluks, marginal seats increase of 20% has been allowed in government and aided higher secondary schools, while in Ernakulam the same increase was allowed in all government and aided schools in five taluks except Kothamangalam and Muvattupuzha.

Of the temporary additional batches sanctioned in 2021, 2023, and 2024, except for one all 313 batches that continued in 2025-26 academic year will continue this year too.

Thirty-eight batches that were shifted will also continue, it is learnt.

Accordingly, there are 1,92,181 Plus One seats in government schools; 1,92,159 seats in aided schools; 49,800 in unaided school; 946 seats in special schools; 1,568 seats in model residential schools; and 2,530 in technical schools.

In Malappuram, the number of total seats comes to 77,865. As many as 79,083 students became eligible for higher studies in the district. In Palakkad, 35,352 seats are available (38,164 students cleared SSLC), while in Kozhikode 42,892 seats are available (42,770 students cleared SSLC).
