England's Dumbleton Cricket Club put up a huge total in the Varistha Cheltenham Premier T20, scoring 417/2 in 20 overs against Hatherley & Reddings CC before winning the match by 188 runs on Tuesday, Wisden reported.The scorecard looked more like a video game than a cricket match. Dumbleton piled up 417 runs, with one batter scoring a double-century off just 54 balls and the team clearing the boundary 47 times.

Opening batters Thomas Kelly and Ewan Gegg gave Dumbleton a flying start, adding 112 runs in 6.1 overs. Kelly made 64 off 25 balls before getting out.Gegg then took charge and stayed unbeaten on 206 from just 55 deliveries. His innings included 13 fours and 23 sixes.Dan Holland, who walked in during the seventh over, added to the run-scoring with 122 off 37 balls. He struck four fours and 16 sixes during his 41-minute stay at the crease.Gegg and Holland put together 211 runs for the second wicket in only 59 balls. Even after Holland's dismissal, Dumbleton were still short of 400. Gegg then took control of the closing overs, facing 19 of the last 24 deliveries to carry his side past the 400-run mark.

Dumbleton scored 370 of their 417 runs in boundaries, hitting 22 fours and 47 sixes.Chasing 418, Hatherley & Reddings had to attack from the start with the required run rate already above 20 an over. They were bowled out for 229 in the final over despite opener Harry Bloomfield's 109 off 48 balls, which included six fours and 12 sixes.Hatherley & Reddings also cleared the ropes 19 times, taking the total number of sixes in the match to 66.Fittingly, double-centurion Gegg picked up the final wicket of the match as Dumbleton completed a 188-run victory.
