A new CCTV footage from inside a classroom at Jaipur’s Neerja Modi School has drawn renewed national attention to the tragic death of nine-year-old Amaira, a Class 4 student who died after jumping from the school building’s fourth floor on November 1, 2025.

The five-minute classroom video, released by Amaira’s grieving parents, was circulated widely on social media platforms. The family presents the footage as vital visual evidence that their daughter was subjected to classroom bullying and distress in her final moments, while her repeated pleas for help were allegedly dismissed by the teacher on duty.

What The Classroom CCTV Footage Shows

The newly accessed footage captures the sequence of events inside the ground-floor classroom just before the tragedy occurred.

The video begins with Amaira entering the classroom normally, interacting with a classmate, and later participating in a routine group dance session with other children.

The atmosphere shifts when a digital slate is brought into the classroom by some students. According to the family’s added narration over the video, several children repeatedly displayed text or drawings on the slate to Amaira, causing her body language to visibly change. The footage captures the young girl looking distressed, uncomfortable, and embarrassed during these interactions.

The video documents Amaira approaching her class teacher, identified as Puneeta Sharma, at least five distinct times, seemingly attempting to lodge a complaint about what her classmates were writing. Rather than being pulled aside privately, Amaira is seen being repeatedly interrupted by other students who converge around the desk.

As the minutes progress, Amaira’s body language reflects escalating anxiety; she is seen folding her hands, holding her mouth, and clutching her head in apparent panic. Following her fifth approach, the footage shows her being sent back to her seat before she abruptly runs out of the classroom alone.

The nine-year-old then climbed the stairs to the fourth floor entirely unnoticed and jumped from a 48-foot-high railing. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

The victim’s family has alleged that their daughter, a Class 4 student, repeatedly showed signs of distress in the days leading up to her death, but the school failed to respond adequately to her concerns.

Demanding stricter action, the family has called for the arrest of all those they believe were responsible, including the school principal and founder. They also described the chargesheet filed in the case as “incomplete" and sought a fresh and comprehensive investigation.

“Filing the chargesheet is an important step, but justice will remain incomplete unless every person responsible is named as an accused and arrested in accordance with the law," said Vijay, the deceased girl’s father.

The girl’s mother, Shivani, alleged that despite her daughter’s repeated signs of emotional distress, the school failed to take appropriate corrective measures. She urged authorities to conduct an impartial probe and called for stronger anti-bullying safeguards and child-protection mechanisms in schools to prevent similar incidents in the future.
