Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring on Friday warned that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) could face further political defections, saying even up to 50 of its MLAs may eventually join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following the exit of several Rajya Sabha MPs.

Speaking to reporters, Warring said the move by Raghav Chadha and six other AAP MPs to align with the BJP reflected deeper structural weaknesses within the party.

“The Aam Aadmi Party should remain cautious. It should not happen that one day even 50 of your MLAs switch sides," he said, adding that the MPs had moved after reaching Parliament. “This was always a possibility when the party makes decisions in this manner, without clear criteria," he added.
