Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday felicitated 55 students of social welfare residential schools, who secured ranks in IIT-JEE and NEET examinations this year. The students had received coaching at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar IIT-NEET centres located at Chinnatekur in Kurnool district, Kuntamukkala in NTR district, and Adavitakkellapadu in Guntur district respectively.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister advised the students to continue working hard and excel in higher education, thereby contributing to nation-building. Mr. Naidu called upon the officials to churn out more such meritorious students out of the residential schools by imparting them quality education and providing all the required facilities. The number of students getting ranks should increase four times by the end of next year, he told the officials.

The Chief Minister instructed the officials to set up seven new IIT-NEET coaching Centres this year and stated that the government was ready to spend on education of poor students. Later, Mr. Naidu distributed mementos and cheques for ₹1 lakh to each of the 55 students as incentive. Social Welfare Minister Dola Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy and others were present.
