In a tragic incident, a seven-year-old girl was killed after she was hit by a speeding vehicle in Maharashtra’s Washim while crossing a road with her grandfather.

The accident occurred in Kavthal village on Saturday while the girl and her grandfather were returning home from a market, when a speeding car hit her. The impact threw the child onto the road, and the vehicle dragged her for some distance before coming to a halt.

The girl sustained critical injuries in the collision and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed in the area.

One of the videos showed the girl running on the road before the accident. The girl tried to avoid the vehicle, but failed to do so as the car rammed into her.

Shocking visuals from the area showed the girl being dragged by the vehicle as several locals rushed to the scene to help her. The driver also stepped out of the car and checked on the girl’s condition before leaving the area.

Police have launched an investigation into the incident and a case has been registered.
