A total of 75,487 pending traffic e-challan cases were settled across Karnataka on Sunday and Monday under the State government’s recently announced 50% fine concession scheme.
According to a press note issued by Bengaluru Traffic Police, ₹2.24 crore was collected through various prescribed modes of payment during the two-day period.
The concession was granted through a Government Order dated June 4, which provides a 50% reduction in fines for pending traffic e-challan cases registered by the police department. The scheme came into effect on June 21.
