Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the greatest footballers of all time. The 41-year-old forward from Portugal scored a goal in Portugal’s 2-1 win over Croatia on Thursday (Friday IST) and, in the process, became the oldest player in the world to score in a FIFA World Cup knockout match. Ronaldo, who has scored three goals for Portugal in this year’s FIFA World Cup, now has 11 goals to his name in football’s biggest tournament and is joint ninth on the all-time goal-scorers’ list. Here’s a look at the eight players who have scored more goals than Cristiano Ronaldo in FIFA World Cup history.
