8-year-old boy dies after snakebite in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram; cobra captured

An eight-year-old boy died after being bitten by a poisonous snake at his house in Chirayinkeezhu in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, early Thursday (April 23, 2026).

According to the police, Dilshan, the eldest child of Deepu and Anu, was sleeping along with his parents and younger sibling in their tumble-down house when the incident occurred. The child woke up his parents, who rushed him to the Chirayankeezhu taluk hospital.
